Terms of Service

These terms are maintained by MenuMate and describe the agreement between you and MenuMate for use of the app. By signing in you agree to them.

1. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter (restaurant name, menu, pricing, promotions) and for keeping access to your sign-in email secure.

2. Acceptable use

• No illegal content, hate speech, or content that violates others' rights.
• No spam, scraping, or automated abuse of the AI or QR endpoints.
• No attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or row-level security.
• Menu content must reflect the actual restaurant you operate.

3. Subscriptions & cancellation

Paid plans (when enabled) auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time, but you retain access until the period ends.

4. Intellectual property

You own your menu, brand, and uploaded content. MenuMate owns the app, its code, design, and AI prompts. You grant MenuMate a limited license to store and process your content solely to operate the service on your behalf.

5. AI-generated content

Menu extraction and the AI waiter use language models and may occasionally make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing extracted items and for the accuracy of information shown to guests.

6. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. On deletion, personal data is removed per our Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, MenuMate is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Total liability is limited to fees you paid in the prior 12 months.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect.
